Congratulations to Erin O’Toole!

It is my pleasure and honour to congratulate Erin O’Toole on earning the trust of Conservative members to become the next leader of our great party.

Our country faces the crisis of COVID recovery, unprecedented debt levels, trade wars and a declining reputation on the world stage, all because of Justin Trudeau who has led a government mired in corruption, incompetence and entitlement.

Canada needs an honest and capable government to steer our nation on a path of rebuilding.

I can think of few other people better suited for this task than Erin O’Toole, whose character, skills and experience will lead the Conservative Party to victory.

I also want to thank and congratulate Peter MacKay, Leslyn Lewis and Derek Sloan for their courage and insights in participating in this leadership race. I urge them all to stay involved and continue to contribute their strengths in the battles ahead.

For any party, leadership races can be an exhausting and challenging experience. But we have no time to rest. In a minority Parliament, we face the prospect that an election could be mere months or even weeks away.

I urge all Conservatives, in Regina-Wascana and across Canada, to join with me and Erin O’Toole as we move forward together.
